Custom Machined Parts Instrument Front Bezel 6061-T6 Aluminum 0.01mm Hole Position
6061-T6 Instrument Front Bezel
,0.01mm Hole Position Bezel
,Flat Panel Instrument Bezel
Front bezels are the parts buyers change most often: every new instrument model brings a new display cutout, a different button layout and a new colour, usually in small quantities. We machine these 6061 aluminum bezels and control panels from the customer's drawing or a sketch, hold hole position to 0.01mm, keep the panel flat within 0.02mm, and run them from a single prototype to a repeat batch without changing supplier between engineering samples and series production.
| Characteristic | Capability | Verification |
|---|---|---|
| Hole and cutout position | 0.01mm | CMM hole pattern report, 100% |
| Panel flatness | 0.02mm | CMM surface map |
| Outline profile tolerance | 0.05mm | Profile projector and CMM |
| Window edge quality | Clean chamfer, no chip-out | Magnified visual check, 100% |
| Engraved legend depth | 0.1mm uniform | Depth gauge and visual |
| Panel thickness | 0.05mm | Micrometer, 5 points |
| Surface finish | Anodized, sandblasted or brushed | Colour and thickness record |
| Material | 6061-T6 standard, 5052 and 7075 on request | Mill certificate |
- Drawing review and DFM feedback: window size, web width between cutouts and button spacing are checked before machining, and any risky feature is flagged in writing.
- Sheet or plate sawed with allowance, faced and stress relieved where the panel is thin.
- Datum edges machined and the coordinate system fixed for the whole batch.
- Roughing of the outer contour and stepped mounting edge.
- Finishing of the outer profile, then display window and button holes machined with small tooling at controlled feed to avoid chip-out at the corners.
- Counterbores, tapped holes and locating holes machined; engraved legends cut in the same setup so they align with the holes.
- Deburring, ultrasonic cleaning and flatness check before finishing.
- Anodizing in the specified colour with masking of grounding or contact areas, then final dimension check.
- Protective film, individual wrapping and export packing.
- Drawing to part: STEP, IGES, DWG, PDF or a hand sketch with dimensions; we build the model, confirm the critical features and machine from the approved version.
- Low entry quantity: one piece for a prototype so a new model can be validated before the tooling commitment.
- Version control: revision numbers are engraved or recorded on the drawing, and the fixture is kept for repeat orders so a later revision starts from a known state.
- Mixed batches: several panel variants can be scheduled in one production slot, which is how small instrumentation customers keep stock without holding large lots.
- Finishing choice: clear, black or colour anodizing, sandblasting, brushing, laser marking and selective masking.
Test and measurement instrument front panels, laboratory equipment control plates, medical device interface bezels, industrial controller faceplates, power supply and inverter panels, audio and broadcast equipment fronts, machine tool control covers and handheld instrument housings. The same process covers rear panels, chassis covers and internal mounting plates.
Dongguan Changxinda Precision Technology Co., Ltd has produced custom CNC machined parts since 2008, with 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers, turn-mill compound lathes, CNC lathes and milling machines, about 100 employees and more than 200 customers worldwide, exporting 50–60% of output. Machining accuracy reaches plus or minus 0.01mm, and the plant handles non-standard aluminum parts and complex cavity work from 3D drawing breakdown and process planning through to batch delivery.
Prototypes are delivered in 7–10 days and batch orders in 15–25 days. Aluminum sheet is kept in stock so a repeat order does not wait for material, each order is booked into a fixed production slot with a written delivery date, and repeat runs use the same fixture and program so the second batch fits the first without hand fitting. Any schedule risk is reported before the committed date rather than after it.
Yes, send a dimensioned sketch or a sample; we return a model for approval before machining, so the risk of a wrong first article is removed.
Yes, variants can be scheduled in one slot; pricing is quoted per version with a combined order discount.
One piece for a prototype, with batch pricing from 50 pieces.
Send your panel drawing or sketch with the finish and colour requirement, and our engineering team will return a process note and a factory quotation within 24 hours.
