Robot Balancer Mount Bracket — Ribbed Aluminum Bracket for Cyclic Loads
A balancer cylinder mount sees alternating load: every acceleration and deceleration switches it between tension and compression. Welded bent parts crack first in the weld heat affected zone, so we mill the ribs and load path from solid aluminum and machine the H7 pivot bore and bushing seat in one operation; after 10^7 cycles there are still no cracks.
Under alternating load, the weld is always the first thing to fail
A balancer cylinder works in repeated tension and compression, so the mount root sees cyclic bending. The difference between the three processes is direct:
| Welded bent parts | Lower cost, but the weld heat affected zone is the fatigue crack initiation point, and welded aluminum loses another 30-50% strength |
| Die-cast parts | Suits high volume, but porosity and density vary, so critical load-bearing areas need extra reinforcement |
| Solid milled part (this product) | Continuous fibre, no welds, no porosity, ribs laid along the principal stress direction and clearly better fatigue life at equal weight |
- Continuous load path — ribs run from the pivot bore straight to the mounting bolt face, so stress does not have to route around.
- Pivot bore H7 — mated with bushing or pin, roundness 0.005 mm to avoid local crushing.
- Bolt preload face — flatness 0.01 mm keeps preload uniform and avoids induced bending moments.
- Fillet transition — all internal corners R3-R5 to reduce the stress concentration factor.

Production Process: 9 Operations
| 01 | Load and Structure Review Bending moment and stress concentration locations are calculated from cylinder output, mounting attitude and stroke, with rib thickness and fillet recommendations. |
| 02 | Material and Flaw Detection Aluminum plate received by heat number with ultrasonic testing on thick sections to exclude internal defects, with a 3.1 material certificate. |
| 03 | Rough machining OD, ribs and pivot bore rough milled with 0.8 mm per side to release material stress. |
| 04 | Stress Relief Low-temperature stress relief prevents ribs and hole positions from distorting after finishing. |
| 05 | Finishing datum face Mounting face and pivot bore face finish milled to establish the primary datum, flatness 0.01 mm. |
| 06 | Pivot bore and bushing seat Pivot bore and bushing seat bored to H7 in one setup, 0.01 mm coaxiality, 0.005 mm roundness. |
| 07 | Hole Pattern Machining Mounting holes and locating pin holes drilled and reamed to ±0.02 mm; threads tapped or milled. |
| 08 | Surface Treatment Bead blasting plus anodizing with mating faces masked, bores re-checked after anodizing. |
| 09 | Inspection and Packing CMM checks coaxiality, perpendicularity and flatness; static load validation available; individual bubble bag plus wooden case or reinforced carton. |

Custom Engineering
Balancer cylinders vary widely in brand, stroke and mounting, so we build to your machine interface.
- Interface Customization — pivot bore diameter, bushing type (press-fit / self-lubricating / rod end) and mounting holes matched to the cylinder body.
- Stiffness Tuning — ribs thickened or structure revised to suit output force and stroke, avoiding low-frequency chatter.
- Material Options — aluminum for weight, ductile iron for damping, stainless for corrosion resistance, chosen by application.
- Validation Support — static deformation testing and full-dimensional CMM reports to support your bench validation.
Confidentiality and IP Protection
The drawings of a complete robot builder are often the core competitiveness of the next machine generation. We apply both physical and data isolation on a per-project basis.
- NDA First — mutual NDA and non-circumvention agreement signed before drawings are received.
- Isolated Secure Area — dedicated machines and staff, no photography and no phones inside the area.
- Not displayed — drawings, part photos and customer logos never enter sample cabinets, catalogs, the website or social media.
- Data Isolation — programs and models sit on an access-controlled server, destroyed at project end with a written record.
- Code-named — traveler cards and packaging labels use internal codes instead of customer part numbers.
- Sample Management — customer samples are numbered and logged, then returned or destroyed as agreed at project end.
Company Profile
Dongguan Changxinda Precision Technology Co., Ltd.Founded in 2008, with a team of 90-102 staff, serving 200+ Customers, export share 50-60%, annual sales of USD 10-20 million, ISO 9001:2015 certified.
Structural parts for robots come one shape per part, and no hand fitting is allowed at assembly. We therefore keep 5-axis machining, stress relief, surface treatment and CMM inspection under one roof, so every part's geometric tolerance is closed internally instead of being sorted out on the customer's line.
