G2.5 Dynamic Balancing Centrifuge Rotor in 6061-T6 Aluminum Billet with 0.01mm Runout Control
Billet Centrifuge Rotor Turning
,Dynamic Balanced Rotor Machining
,Rotor Balance G2.5 Grade
This centrifuge rotor is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum billet by Dongguan Changxinda Precision Technology Co., Ltd., a CNC factory established in 2008. Billet means no casting porosity and no hidden voids, so the mass is uniform before a single cut is made. Every cavity, wall and bore is turned and milled symmetrically, runout is held to ±0.01 mm, and each rotor is dynamically balanced to G2.5 at its running speed.
A rotor spins fast enough that a few grams of unbalanced mass becomes a vibration the bearings and the sample both feel. Cast blanks often hide porosity that shows up only after machining, which is why we start from billet. Material is removed evenly from both sides, the rotor is checked for runout on the bearing seat and bore, and then balanced with correction drilling on the underside until the residual unbalance fits the G2.5 grade at the stated RPM.
- Balance Grade G2.5 at Running Speed
- Wall Tolerance 0.01 mm
- Min Order 1 Piece
- ISO 9001:2015
- 6061-T6 Billet
- NDA Available
- Exporting Since 2008
Each rotor follows a controlled nine-stage route:
- Drawing review & DFM: STEP / IGES / SolidWorks / 2D PDF checked for cavity layout, wall thickness, bore and balance grade.
- Billet selection: 6061-T6 aluminum billet with mill certificate and ultrasonic soundness check where specified.
- Rough machining: generous stock left on all faces so stress is distributed before finishing.
- Stress relief: an intermediate relax step keeps the rotor from moving after final cuts.
- Semi-finish: cavities and walls brought to uniform thickness, checked on both sides.
- Finish machining: bores, seats and cavity floors finished to ±0.01 mm with runout control.
- Surface treatment: anodizing, hard coat or per drawing, applied evenly so mass stays symmetric.
- Dynamic balancing: spun at running speed, corrected by drilling until residual unbalance meets G2.5.
- Final inspection: CMM dimensions, runout and a balance report shipped with each rotor.
The rotor shown is a starting point. We machine custom rotors with your own cavity count, tube angles, volumes, bore and balance grade — all to drawing.
We sign an NDA before engineering review, restrict drawings to the assigned programming and machining team, and never display or reuse customer geometry. Fixtures and programs built for your rotor stay dedicated to your program, and surplus or reject parts are scrapped on request.
Changxinda runs a 2008-established plant with 90+ staff, CNC lathes and 4-axis / 5-axis machining centers backed by a dedicated QC lab.

Castings can hide porosity that only appears after machining and shifts the mass. Billet is homogeneous, so wall thickness and balance stay predictable at high speed.
Residual unbalance is limited to the G2.5 grade at the rotor running speed. The rotor is spun, measured, corrected by drilling and re-checked before shipping.
Stock is roughed with generous allowance, an intermediate stress relief is applied, then finishing cuts are light — so the part stays stable dimensionally.
Yes. Cavity count, angles, volumes, bore and balance grade are all built to your drawing or 3D model, with DFM feedback before you commit.
Yes, before engineering review. Drawings are limited to the assigned programming and machining team and never reused or displayed.
Prototypes 3–7 days, small batches 7–14 days, mass production 14–30 days depending on complexity and balancing requirements.
