A dual clamp bracket holds two tubes, rods or shafts in a fixed relationship. The load path runs through the saddle faces — so both saddles are machined from a single datum, not two separate set-ups. The result is a bracket that clamps evenly and repeats when you order again.
Saddle radius and position are measured against the tube it clamps. Both saddles share one machined datum, not two set-ups. Prototypes ship in 3–7 working days with no tooling charge.
Standards & compliance: ISO 9001:2015 · 6061-T6 / 7075-T6 billet · First article report with every shipment · Exporting since 2008.
If the two saddles are not cut from the same datum, the tubes sit at slightly different heights or angles, the clamp preload lands on one edge, and the assembly transmits vibration instead of damping it. Bolting the bracket down does not fix that — it only bends the bracket or crushes the tube.
So we machine the mounting base, the bolt pattern and both saddles from one billet in one setup where possible, or from a common datum with a single re-fixture where the geometry forces a second operation. The saddle radius is cut to your tube diameter with a controlled clearance band, and the saddle-to-saddle position is measured, not assumed.
| Step | Operation | Control Point |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Billet selection | 6061-T6 or 7075-T6 plate or block sawn oversize, with material certificate traceable to the heat number. |
| 2 | Stress relief and facing | Block faced and allowed to settle so the bracket does not bow after the saddles remove material from one side. |
| 3 | Datum preparation | Base face and two reference edges machined square; all later features are measured from this set. |
| 4 | Mounting base and bolt pattern | Base pockets, counterbores and bolt holes drilled and reamed on the datum; hole position ±0.05 mm. |
| 5 | Saddle contouring | Saddle radius and relief milled with a 5-axis contouring path; radius checked with a profile gauge or CMM section against the tube diameter. |
| 6 | Scallops, ribs, edge break | Relief scallops between saddles and any stiffening rib milled; every edge broken 0.2–0.3 mm so the clamp does not score the tube. |
| 7 | Deburr and finish | Tumbling or hand deburr, then clear or black anodize 10–15 µm, bead blast, or as-machined finish per drawing. |
| 8 | Inspection and pack | Saddle radius, saddle position, base flatness and hole pattern recorded; parts bagged individually. |
| Feature | Held To | Verified By |
|---|---|---|
| Saddle radius (contact fit) | ±0.02 mm against tube OD | Profile gauge and CMM section |
| Saddle position, one to the other | ±0.02 mm | CMM, single datum |
| Saddle axis parallelism | 0.02 mm | CMM cylinder fit |
| Base flatness | 0.03 mm | Granite plate plus indicator |
| Bolt hole position | ±0.05 mm | CMM, reamed holes |
| Bolt hole diameter | H7 / ±0.01 mm | Plug gauge |
| Overall height and width | ±0.05 mm | Height gauge, CMM |
| Wall and leg thickness | ±0.1 mm | Micrometer at three points |
| Anodize thickness | 10–15 µm Type II | Coating gauge, batch record |
Saddle clearance is quoted from your tube or rod diameter rather than from a nominal. Tell us the actual shaft size and whether the clamp needs to grip or merely locate, and the saddle is cut to give that contact. Where the tubes are commercial tolerance stock, a saddle cut to the nominal will either pinch or rattle — we size to the measured part instead.

A clamp drawing shows the geometry of your machine — tube spacing, bolt pattern, structural interface. We sign a mutual NDA before opening any file, in English or Chinese or on your own form, and return a countersigned copy before work starts.
Inside the plant only the project engineer, the CAM programmer and the cell supervisor have access; the file sits in a restricted folder rather than the open shop network. The cell is a camera-free area: no photographs, no video, no social posts, and no customer bracket kept on display or shown to another buyer as a sample. Subcontracting requires your written approval, and at program close drawings and inspection data are deleted or returned with written confirmation.
Dongguan Changxinda Precision Technology Co., Ltd has machined custom metal parts since 2008 — 15+ years, 90 to 100 staff, 50–60% of output exported to North America and Europe, 200+ customers served, turnover in the RMB 10–20 million band.
The plant runs 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres, turn-mill combined lathes and CNC lathes under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system, with in-house milling, turning, finishing coordination and inspection. Billet machining, contour milling, anodize coordination and final inspection for your bracket all happen in our own plant in Dongguan.
Brackets and clamp hardware from this plant ship into ten sectors. The list is what customers actually order, not a marketing wish-list.

| Automation and industrial equipment | Automation jigs and fixtures / module frames / linear guide blocks / motor mounts / sensor housings / conveyor line components |
| Semiconductor and vacuum | Vacuum chamber bodies / vacuum fittings / precision bases for semiconductor equipment / thermal and insulating parts / inspection tooling |

All ten sectors run through the same plant and the same ISO 9001:2015 inspection discipline — only the material, finish and documentation package change.

A: From the measured tube or rod diameter, not the catalogue nominal. Tell us the actual size and whether the clamp has to grip under load or only locate, and we cut the saddle radius to give full contact without pinching. Where stock varies, we quote against the measured sample or accept a diameter range and machine to its mid-point.
A: Because a re-fixture adds a second alignment error between the two tubes the bracket has to hold. Cutting both saddles against one datum keeps their relative position within ±0.02 mm, which is what makes the clamp preload even on both tubes. Where the part cannot be reached in one setup, we use a common ground datum with a locating pin, not a vice re-grip.
A: Not if the stock is stress relieved and the cuts are sequenced from both faces. Aluminium billet carries internal stress, so we face and let the block settle before finishing, keep the legs symmetric where the design allows, and check base flatness on a granite plate before anodize.
A: It adds 5–7 µm per surface, which is why the saddle is cut to the low half of the tolerance band before coating, and why we can mask the saddle if your tube clearance is critical. Tell us if the clamp runs on a ground or polished shaft, and masking goes on the drawing.
A: One piece, no tooling charge and no setup fee for standard billet work. Price follows size, saddle count, tolerance band, material and finish, and a written quotation normally returns within 24 hours of receiving the drawing or model.
A: Yes, routinely, and a countersigned copy comes back before work starts. Only the engineer, programmer and supervisor see the file, no photographs leave the cell, and nothing about your bracket appears in our catalogue or website.
Attach the model or drawing with the quantity and the deadline, and you will get a quotation, a process route including the anodize step, and a firm delivery date. NDA paperwork can be handled in the same exchange.
