Product Description
Detailed Specifications & Features
Custom CNC Machined Aluminum Pneumatic Manifold Valve Block

Pneumatic manifold blocks fail for two reasons: cross drilled bores that do not line up, or burrs left inside a passage that later block a valve. We machine these blocks from 6061-T6 aluminum with intersecting bores, seal grooves and threaded ports completed in one 5-axis setup, deburr every internal channel, and pressure test each block before anodizing, so what arrives at your assembly line is a manifold that holds air the first time.

Machining the Cross Bores Without Losing Position
  • One clamping, five axes: the top face, side ports and angled passages are cut without re-fixturing, which removes the accumulated position error that multiple setups introduce at bore intersections.
  • Rigid small-diameter tooling: deep passages are drilled with carbide micro drills at controlled peck depth, then reamed, so the bore does not wander at depth.
  • Cross junction deburring: burrs at intersecting bores are removed with a controlled back-chamfer tool and verified by borescope, preventing loose chips from reaching the valve seat.
  • Seal groove control: grooves are milled with a dedicated form cutter and measured by optical comparator to keep O-ring squeeze within specification.
  • Pressure verification: before finishing, each block is plugged and air tested at 1.0MPa for three minutes; only blocks that hold pressure go to anodizing.
Process Flow
  1. Drawing and circuit review: passage layout, wall thickness between bores and port orientation are checked for manufacturability.
  2. Billet preparation and facing to establish datum faces.
  3. 5-axis roughing of outer form, pockets and port pads.
  4. Semi-finishing of sealing faces and port positions.
  5. Drilling, boring and reaming of main and cross passages in the same setup.
  6. Thread milling or tapping of ports, seal groove milling.
  7. Internal deburring, ultrasonic cleaning and high pressure flushing of passages.
  8. Pressure test at 1.0MPa, then hard anodizing 30-50um for wear resistance on moving surfaces.
  9. Final inspection, port caps fitted, individual bagging and export packing.
Where These Blocks Are Used

Valve islands and manifold assemblies for pneumatic cylinders, air preparation units, vacuum ejector manifolds, gripper manifolds on robot end effectors, packaging machine control blocks, dispensing and filling equipment, semiconductor handling tools and test bench air circuits. Blocks can be supplied with custom port layouts, integrated check valve seats, mounting patterns and engraved circuit identification.

Material and Finishing Options

Standard material is 6061-T6 aluminum for good machinability and corrosion resistance; 6082 and 7075 are available for higher strength, and stainless steel or brass for aggressive media. Surface options include clear anodizing, hard anodizing in 30-50um for sliding wear surfaces, sandblasting for cosmetic consistency and laser marking of port identification.

Company Strength and Delivery

Dongguan Changxinda Precision Technology Co., Ltd started machining custom parts in 2008 and now exports 50-60% of production to more than 200 customers across automation, robotics, medical, automotive, aerospace, telecom, optics and instrument industries. With 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers, turn-mill compound lathes and CNC lathes running two shifts and about 100 staff, we plan capacity around repeat programs rather than single orders. Prototype manifolds are delivered in 7-10 days, repeat batches in 15-25 days, and every confirmed order gets a fixed production slot plus a written delivery date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you machine a manifold from our circuit diagram rather than a 3D model?

Yes. Send the circuit layout and port specification; we build the 3D model, confirm wall thickness and passage routing with you, then machine from the approved model.

Do you test every block?

Every block is pressure tested at 1.0MPa for three minutes before finishing, and the test record is packed with the shipment.

What is the minimum order quantity?

One piece for a prototype; batch pricing starts from 50 pieces.
