This joint linkage is the member that turns a robot arm's servo rotation into controlled wrist motion. It carries the arm's dynamic load, so a few hundredths of a millimetre of misalignment at the bearing seats becomes visible play at the tool centre point. We machine it from 6061-T6 aluminium on a five-axis centre in a single clamping and hold ±0.01 mm on the bearing bores, the mounting faces and the flange bolt pattern.
