High Pressure Hydraulic Manifold Valve Block — 316L Stainless CNC Machining Parts
A cross-drilled hydraulic manifold machined from 316L stainless steel for circuits that run hot, wet or corrosive. Angled ports, O-ring counterbores, plug ports and mounting pattern are produced on one 5-axis platform and pressure tested before shipment — cnc machining parts built for 350 bar service, not for display.
The engineering problem this manifold solves
A hydraulic manifold leaks where three things meet: a cross-drilled intersection, a sealing counterbore and a thread. Our process attacks all three at the same time.
- Cross-hole intersections are drilled with coolant-through carbide and then back-chamfered, so no burr is left to break loose into the circuit.
- Counterbores are interpolated to Ra 0.8 with flatness 0.01 mm — the O-ring seals on a machined seat, not on a drilled surface.
- Wall thickness between crossing galleries is checked in the DFM review, so a 350 bar block does not become a 120 bar block because two holes nearly touch.
- Pressure test is a production step, not an extra: every block is proof tested and the result is recorded against the serial number.

Production process route
| STEP 1 | Quote and DFM Galleries, port spacing and wall thickness reviewed; a DFM sheet flags interference, thin walls and better port combinations. Firm price within 24 hours. |
| STEP 2 | Material release 316L plate or bar certified to EN 10204 3.1, ultrasonic inspected for internal defects on thick sections, cut to blank size. |
| STEP 3 | Face and datum machining Faces milled square, datums established, mounting hole pattern drilled and tapped. |
| STEP 4 | Gallery drilling Deep cross holes drilled with coolant-through tooling on a 4-axis machining centre, depth and intersection position controlled to ±0.02 mm. |
| STEP 5 | Port machining Threads milled or tapped, O-ring counterbores interpolated, chamfers cut, all in one clamping to keep the port pattern true. |
| STEP 6 | Deburr and clean Back-chamfering at intersections, ultrasonic bath, high-pressure rinse, dry, bore scope check on internal galleries. |
| STEP 7 | Passivation and assembly ASTM A967 passivation, optional plugs, relief valves and O-rings fitted and torque recorded. |
| STEP 8 | Pressure test and pack Proof test at 1.5x working pressure, leak-down record, engraved or laser marked serial, plugged and bagged for export. |
Precision and inspection capability
Stainless is dimensionally honest but thermally stubborn. Our programmers compensate cutter paths for 316L work hardening and heat build-up, and the inspection plan measures the part at 20°C before sign-off.
| Linear / height tolerance | ±0.01 mm, ±0.005 mm on sealing land height |
| Hole diameter | IT7, reamed bores ±0.005 mm |
| True position | ±0.02 mm across the full port pattern |
| Perpendicularity | 0.01 mm between sealing face and thread axis |
| Surface roughness | Ra 0.4 to Ra 1.6 by function |
| Thread inspection | Go/No-Go gauges, 100% of ports |
| Pressure test | 350 bar working, 525 bar proof, leak-down logged per block |
| Reports | Dimensional report, pressure test certificate, material certificate, FAI on request |
Non-standard manifolds, from one piece up
Standard catalogue blocks rarely match a real circuit. We build to your schematic, your drawing or a sample.
- Input — hydraulic schematic, 3D model, 2D drawing or a failed block to copy and improve.
- Value engineering — we propose simpler port layouts, common thread families and fewer setups to cut unit price before the first chip is made.
- Flexible quantities — 1 piece for a test bench, 30 to 5,000 pieces for a production line.
- Assembly — cartridges, plugs, test points, nameplates and pressure tags fitted in-house.
- Aluminium alternative — where weight matters we machine the same design in 6061-T6 or 7075 with hard anodizing.
Confidentiality for OEM hydraulic projects
Confidentiality is a contractual obligation, not a promise. Every custom CNC machining parts project can be covered by a signed NDA before the first file is opened.
- NDA on request — bilateral non-disclosure and non-circumvention agreement signed before data transfer.
- Isolated production cell — confidential parts run in a dedicated area with restricted access badges.
- No portfolio leakage — customer drawings, part photos and brand marks never appear in our samples, catalogues, website or social media.
- File control — CAD data stored on an access-controlled server, per-project folders, deleted on request after delivery.
- Named project code — your part number can be replaced by an internal code on travellers, labels and packing lists.
- Supplier silence — sub-suppliers see a code, not your drawing title block or brand.
About the factory behind these parts
Dongguan Changxinda Precision Technology Co., Ltd. has machined custom metal parts since 2008. The plant runs 4-axis and 5-axis machining centres, turn-mill lathes, CNC lathes, surface grinders and wire EDM, supported by a metrology room with CMM and roughness testing.
Today 90-102 people serve 200+ customers with 50-60% of output exported to Europe and North America. Annual sales sit between USD 10 and 20 million. ISO 9001:2015 certified, English-speaking engineering support, one project engineer per account from RFQ to shipment.
