Custom 316L Stainless Steel Valve Block Fluid Connector with 0.01mm Precision CNC Machining
316L Stainless Valve Block
,0.01mm CNC Machined Ports
,One Setup Port Machining
A solid 316L stainless steel valve block machined from bar stock in a single setup, with fluid ports facing four directions, controlled port-to-port positioning, sealed sealing faces and passivated surfaces. Built as production CNC machining parts for instruments, medical devices and automation equipment that cannot tolerate leakage or rework.
Fluid connector blocks fail for three reasons: port position drift, sealing face damage and contamination left in the bore. This part is engineered around those three failure modes.
- One-setup port geometry — all six ports are milled and tapped in a single 5-axis clamping, so port-to-port angular error stays inside 0.02 mm instead of stacking up across three operations.
- Sealing faces cut, never ground by hand — the O-ring counterbores are interpolated with a finishing insert, keeping Ra 0.8 and flatness 0.01 mm on the seat.
- Deburr and passivation as process steps — cross holes are deburred with a back-chamfering tool, then the part is passivated per ASTM A967 to restore the 316L chromium oxide layer.
- Verified before packing — 100% thread gauging, 100% visual inspection on sealing faces, and CMM sampling on port coordinates.

Precision is a capability of the process, not of a single sample. These are the tolerances our inspection reports routinely show on stainless steel CNC machining parts.
| Linear tolerance | ±0.01 mm (±0.005 mm on request) |
|---|---|
| Bore / hole diameter | IT7, ±0.005 mm achievable on reamed bores |
| Port position | ±0.02 mm true position against datum |
| Flatness / parallelism | 0.01 mm on sealing faces |
| Surface roughness | Ra 0.4 polished, Ra 0.8 sealing faces, Ra 1.6 milled faces |
| Angular tolerance | ±0.05° on cross-drilled ports |
| Measuring equipment | CMM (Mitutoyo class), 2.5D vision, roughness tester, thread gauges, hardness tester |
| Quality documents | First article inspection report, material certificate, dimensional report, PPAP-style dossier on request |
Roughly 80% of the CNC machining parts we ship are non-standard. There is no surcharge for a new drawing — the engineering effort is included in the quotation.
- File formats — STEP, IGES, X_T, DWG, DXF, PDF, or a physical sample for reverse engineering.
- Design changes — port layout, thread type, wall thickness, material grade, marking and finishing are all adjustable before or during production.
- Prototype to serial — 1 to 50,000 pieces from the same program, so the prototype you approve is the process that runs the series.
- Assembly value-add — O-rings, screws, plugs, Helicoil inserts, laser marking and clean-room bags handled in-house.
- Export documentation — HS code, packing list, commercial invoice and certificate of origin prepared for your forwarder.
Confidentiality is a contractual obligation, not a promise. Every custom CNC machining parts project can be covered by a signed NDA before the first file is opened.
- NDA on request — bilateral non-disclosure and non-circumvention agreement signed before data transfer.
- Isolated production cell — confidential parts run in a dedicated area with restricted access badges.
- No portfolio leakage — customer drawings, part photos and brand marks never appear in our samples, catalogues, website or social media.
- File control — CAD data stored on an access-controlled server, per-project folders, deleted on request after delivery.
- Named project code — your part number can be replaced by an internal code on travellers, labels and packing lists.
- Photography ban — phones are not permitted in the confidential machining cell.
Founded in 2008 in Dongguan, Guangdong, Changxinda is a CNC machining manufacturer with 90–102 employees, 50–60% of output exported and 200+ active customers across Europe, North America, Japan and Southeast Asia.
Our equipment list covers 4-axis and 5-axis vertical machining centres, turn-mill combined CNC lathes, CNC lathes, surface grinders and a full metrology room. Because turning, milling, grinding, wire EDM and inspection sit in one plant, a valve block never leaves our control between operations — which is how a ±0.01 mm callout survives to the shipping carton.
Certification: ISO 9001:2015. Working languages: English, Chinese. Quotation, DFM and inspection reports are issued in English by default.

Delivery reliability comes from capacity planning, not from promises.
- Reserved capacity — weekly capacity is blocked for repeat customers, so rush orders do not push serial orders out of the schedule.
- Two shifts, six days — 07:30–22:00 production window, weekend overtime available in peak season.
- Kanban and buffer stock — for running projects we hold finished or semi-finished buffer quantities, and ship against a call-off.
- Schedule transparency — a weekly progress report with photo updates and a tracking number the moment the carton leaves the plant.
- Logistics — DHL/FedEx/UPS express for samples, air and sea consolidation for serial orders, EXW, FOB Shenzhen or CIF as required.
Upload 2D/3D files (STEP, IGES, DWG, PDF) — our engineering team returns DFM feedback, tolerance review and a firm price within one working day.
