Turn-Mill Composite Spline Connector Housing with C-Axis Indexed Spline Teeth and Square Flange

Spline teeth & flange squareness held to 0.01 mm. This tooth-shape spline connector housing with a square flange is turn-mill machined by Dongguan Changxinda Precision Technology Co., Ltd., a CNC factory established in 2008. The spline teeth, internal bore and square mounting flange are produced in one setup with C-axis indexing, so the tooth pattern stays concentric with the bore and square to the flange face. Critical features — tooth thickness, tooth spacing, spline fit and flange squareness — are held to ±0.01 mm and verified on a CMM.
A spline transfers torque through its tooth flanks, so the fit is what matters. Cut the teeth too tight and the mating shaft will not slide on; cut them too loose and backlash shows up as rotational play and wear. Because the teeth are indexed from the same datum as the bore, the pattern stays evenly spaced around the axis instead of accumulating error from tooth to tooth.

Each spline connector housing follows a controlled eight-stage route:
- 1Drawing review & DFM: STEP / IGES / SolidWorks / 2D PDF checked for tooth count, module, pressure angle, fit class and flange geometry.
- 2Material: 6061-T6 / 7075 aluminum with mill certificates.
- 3Turn-mill programming: CAM toolpaths combining turning of the body and bore with indexed milling of the spline teeth.
- 4Turning the body & bore: bore and outer profile machined to size, concentricity established to the spline datum.
- 5Indexed tooth cutting: spline teeth milled with C-axis indexing so spacing stays uniform around the axis.
- 6Milling the square flange: flange sides and face cut square to the bore axis, holes drilled to the tooth datum.
- 7Surface treatment: anodizing, polishing or per drawing.
- 8CMM inspection: tooth thickness, spacing, spline fit and flange squareness verified with a first-article report.
The spline housing is a starting point. We machine custom spline interfaces with your own tooth count, module, pressure angle, fit class, bore size, flange dimensions and hole pattern — all to drawing.
We sign an NDA before engineering review, restrict drawings to the assigned programming and machining team, and never display or reuse customer geometry. Fixtures and programs built for your part stay dedicated to your program, and surplus or reject parts are scrapped on request.
Changxinda runs a plant established in 2008 with 90+ staff, multiple turn-mill lathes and 4-axis / 5-axis machining centers backed by a dedicated QC lab.

Tooth thickness and spacing are held to ±0.01 mm and checked against the fit class on your drawing, so the mating shaft slides on without rotational play.
The spline is cut with C-axis indexing from one datum, so spacing error does not accumulate from tooth to tooth. The pattern is CMM-verified after machining.
Yes — tooth count, module, pressure angle, fit class, bore size, flange dimensions and hole pattern can all be machined to your drawing or 3D model.
Both. Internal splines are cut in the bore and external splines on the hub, depending on your interface design.
Yes, before engineering review. Drawings are limited to the assigned programming and machining team and never reused or displayed.
Prototypes 3–7 days, small batches 7–14 days, mass production 14–30 days depending on complexity, with rush support available.
