This square flange connector housing is turn-mill machined by Dongguan Changxinda Precision Technology Co., Ltd., a CNC factory established in 2008. The square mounting flange, multi-step internal cavity and external thread are produced in one setup, so the flange face stays perpendicular to the cavity axis and the bolt pattern stays on centre. Critical features — flange squareness, bolt-hole position, cavity steps and wall thickness — are held to ± 0.01 mm and verified on a CMM.

A square flange bolts flat to a panel, so any error in squareness or bolt-hole position shows up immediately as a tilted or misaligned connector. The difficult part is the datum: the flange face, the cavity axis and the thread must all agree. Machining them in one setup from a single datum keeps them consistent, instead of stacking three separate fixturing errors.

Materials & Compliance: 6061-T6 / 7075 aluminum · CMM first-article report · NDA on request · Exporting since 2008
Manufacturing Process & Precision Control

Each square flange connector housing follows a controlled eight-stage route:

  1. Drawing review & DFM: STEP / IGES / SolidWorks / 2D PDF checked for flange size, bolt pattern, cavity steps and thread spec.
  2. Material: 6061-T6 / 7075 aluminum with mill certificates.
  3. Turn-mill programming: CAM toolpaths combining turning of the body and cavity with milling of the square flange and bolt holes.
  4. Turning the body & cavity: multi-step bore machined to diameter and depth with uniform stock for finishing.
  5. Milling the square flange: four sides and the flange face cut square and perpendicular to the cavity axis.
  6. Drilling the bolt pattern: holes positioned to the cavity datum within the bolt circle tolerance.
  7. Threading & surface treatment: external thread cut on the cavity axis, then anodizing or per drawing.
  8. CMM inspection: flange squareness, bolt-hole position, cavity steps and wall thickness verified with a first-article report.
Custom & Non-Standard Engineering

The square flange housing is a starting point. We machine custom flange connectors with your own flange dimensions, bolt pattern, cavity step sequence, thread size and body length — all to drawing.

Confidentiality & IP Protection

We sign an NDA before engineering review, restrict drawings to the assigned programming and machining team, and never display or reuse customer geometry. Fixtures and programs built for your part stay dedicated to your program, and surplus or reject parts are scrapped on request.

Stable Delivery & Factory Strength

Changxinda runs a plant established in 2008 with 90+ staff, multiple turn-mill lathes and 4-axis / 5-axis machining centers backed by a dedicated QC lab.

FAQ
Q1: Why does flange squareness matter on a connector housing?
A: A square flange bolts flat to a panel. If the face is not perpendicular to the cavity axis, the connector sits tilted, the mating part misaligns and sealing or thread engagement suffers.
Q2: How do you keep the bolt pattern accurate?
A: Bolt holes are drilled in the same setup as the flange and cavity, positioned from one datum, then CMM-verified for bolt-circle position.
Q3: Can I change the flange size and bolt pattern?
A: Yes — flange dimensions, bolt count and spacing, cavity steps, thread size and body length can all be machined to your drawing or 3D model.
Q4: Which materials and finishes are available?
A: 6061-T6 / 7075 aluminum as standard, with anodizing, polishing or custom coatings. Other metals are available on request.
Q5: Will you sign an NDA?
A: Yes, before engineering review. Drawings are limited to the assigned programming and machining team and never reused or displayed.
Q6: What is the lead time?
A: Prototypes 3–7 days, small batches 7–14 days, mass production 14–30 days depending on complexity, with rush support available.
