,6061 Aluminum Flange Machining
This 6061 aluminum ring flange with six threaded lug bosses is machined by Dongguan Changxinda Precision Technology Co., Ltd., a CNC factory established in 2008. The ring body and the six threaded lug bosses are produced on 5-axis machining centers and turn-mill lathes, so the bolt-circle position, boss height and thread axis are all locked to a single datum. Critical features are held to ±0.01 mm and verified on a CMM before shipment.
The six bosses are not bolted on — they are machined directly into the ring, evenly spaced around the bolt circle. Each boss carries a threaded hole for fastening mating components, so the thread position and axis must align with the mating part exactly. Because the ring and bosses are cut in a single setup, the angular spacing and thread-to-bore relationship stay true, which is what keeps multi-point assemblies from cross-threading or binding.
- Lug Bosses6× threaded, uniform angular spacing, thread-milled
- Precision0.01 mm on bolt circle, lug height and thread position

The route from drawing to finished six-boss ring is controlled at every stage:
- Drawing review & DFM: STEP / IGES / SolidWorks / 2D PDF checked for thread spec, boss spacing and tolerances.
- Material: Aluminum 6061 / 6063 / 7075 with mill certificates traceable to the batch.
- Programming: CAM toolpaths and fixture design to hold ±0.01 mm on bolt circle and thread position.
- Ring turning: OD, ID and faces machined first to establish the datum.
- Boss milling & thread milling: six lug bosses milled at uniform angular spacing; threads cut by thread milling for clean, accurate threads.
- Deburr & edge break: thread entries and sealing faces protected.
- Surface treatment: anodizing, polishing or per drawing.
- CMM inspection: bolt circle, boss height, thread position and profile verified with a first-article report.
The six-boss layout is a starting point. We machine rings with any number of lug bosses, custom boss heights and diameters, metric or imperial thread sizes, keyways and counterbores — all to your drawing. Send a 2D or 3D model and our team returns a manufacturability review and quote, usually within 24 hours. There is no tooling charge, and the minimum order is a single piece for prototypes.
If your ring design is confidential, we sign an NDA before engineering review, restrict drawings to the assigned programming and machining team, and never display or reuse customer geometry. Fixtures and programs built for your part stay dedicated to your program, and surplus or reject parts are scrapped on request.
Changxinda operates a plant established in 2008 with 90+ staff, multiple turn-mill lathes, 4-axis and 5-axis machining centers and a dedicated QC lab. With 200+ served customers and 50–60% of output exported, capacity is planned per program so repeat orders ship on a predictable schedule: 3–7 days for prototypes, 7–14 days for small batches and 14–30 days for mass production.

A ring flange with raised bosses machined around its bolt circle, each carrying a threaded hole for fastening mating parts. It gives a rigid, precise multi-point connection in one component.
The ring and bosses are machined in a single setup from one datum, and threads are cut by thread milling. Bolt-circle spacing and thread position are then verified on a CMM to hold ±0.01 mm.
Yes — any boss count, boss height, diameter and spacing can be machined to your drawing or 3D model, including metric or imperial threads.
Aluminum 6061, 6063 and 7075 as standard, with anodizing, polishing or custom coatings matched to your environment. Stainless and other metals are available on request.
Yes, before engineering review. Drawings are limited to the assigned programming and machining team, and customer geometry is never displayed or reused.
Prototypes 3–7 days, small batches 7–14 days, mass production 14–30 days depending on quantity and complexity, with rush support available.
