Rolled Thread Clevis Yoke 6082-T6 Aluminum with 0.01mm Coaxiality for Threaded Clevis Yoke Linkages
Threaded Shank Clevis Yoke
,Rolled Thread Coaxial Fork
,Adjustable Linkage Yoke
A precision threaded shank clevis yoke machined from 6082-T6 aluminum, with a rolled 6g thread and pin bores held coaxial to the thread axis within 0.01 mm. The shank, shoulder and fork are produced from a single clamping on one datum, and a matched jam nut is fitted and seating-checked before dispatch.
A clevis yoke on a robot link is loaded in tension and reversing bending at every cycle. Failure almost never starts in the pin bore; it starts at the thread root, where a cut thread leaves a sharp stress raiser on a part cycled thousands of times an hour. This yoke is therefore threaded by rolling rather than turning: the material is displaced instead of cut, the grain flows along the thread profile, and the root stays smooth.
Rolled thread is only useful if it points the right way. The shank and the fork are machined from one blank in one clamping, so the thread axis, the fork slot and the pin bores all share a datum. Screw it into a rod end and the fork sits square, without shimming or re-clocking.
Rolled versus cut thread. Rolling displaces material rather than removing it, so the thread roots carry no cutting marks and the grain runs continuously along the flank. For a cyclically loaded link, that is the difference between a part that lasts and a part that cracks at the third thread.
Ten stages. Note that the thread is rolled before the fork is milled, because rolling needs a straight, supported shank.
- 01Link review. Thread size and pitch, adjustment range, jam nut position, swing angle and load direction are reviewed together; a DFM note follows within 24 hours.
- 02Bar stock. 6082-T6 bar is selected for machinability and corrosion behaviour, with mill certificate and heat lot recorded against your project code.
- 03Stress relief and rough turning. Shank and fork body are roughed with allowance, and the bar is stress-relieved so the shank does not bend after threading.
- 04Relaxation dwell. The blank rests before finishing; a long shank finished cold will not stay straight.
- 05Finish shank and thread diameter in one clamping. Shank, shoulder and thread blank diameter are turned in one setup, giving a true rolling diameter and a square shoulder.
- 06Thread rolling. Thread is rolled to 6g, checked with GO/NO-GO gauges and a ring gauge, and the effective diameter recorded per lot.
- 07Fork milling on 5-axis. Slot, fork arms, radiused ends and outside profile are milled in one clamping, so the two arms come out parallel and the span lands on drawing.
- 08Pin bores bored and reamed through both arms. Bores are cut in one cycle with the shank as datum; coaxiality between the arms is set by the machine, not by re-fixturing.
- 09Jam nut fit and swing trial. A matched jam nut is run onto the thread, seating checked, and the fork is swung through its clearance angle with a dummy pin.
- 10Coating, marking and CMM. Anodize with the thread masked, laser serial and thread size marked, coaxiality and span measured on the CMM, then packed with thread protectors.

Dongguan Changxinda Precision Technology Co., Ltd has machined custom parts since 2008. Equipment covers 4-axis and 5-axis machining centres, turn-mill combination lathes, CNC lathes with thread rolling heads, and milling machines, backed by an ISO 9001:2015 quality system and an in-house CMM room. More than 200 customers in medical equipment, robotics, automotive, aerospace, automation, laser, LED, lithium battery and precision instruments are supplied from this plant, and 50–60% of output is exported. Thread rolling, gauge control and fork boring are standard operations here.

Rolling leaves no cutting marks at the root and keeps the grain continuous, which is where a cyclically loaded link usually fails. It also gives a smoother, more consistent fit batch to batch.
Yes. The nut is run onto the thread and its seating checked before packing, or we machine the yoke to suit a nut you already stock.
A mutual NDA is signed first, covering drawings, models, scans and samples, including thread and load data.
Yes. Offset, angled and wide-span forks are milled in the same clamping as the slot, so the thread-to-fork relationship stays controlled.
One piece, with no tooling charge and no programming fee.
Yes. Left-hand, right-hand and fine-pitch threads are available, and pairs are threaded in the same lot so adjustment behaves symmetrically.
Drawing or model, thread specification, adjustment range, quantity, coating and target date. Quote and DFM comments return within 24 hours.
