CNC Machined Housing Multi-Cavity Aluminum Panel Faceplate with Multi-Window Cavities
Multi-Window Cavity Panel

,Panel Opening 0.01mm
This 6061 aluminum multi-cavity panel is a precision faceplate and mounting plate engineered for multi-lens optical instruments, machine vision inspection machines, and automated test equipment. A single plate carries multiple rectangular cavities and windows, stepped grooves, countersunk hole arrays, and staggered locating bosses, allowing several modules to mount onto one integral surface with consistent reference planes.
The panel is milled in one piece from 6061 aluminum plate on CNC machining centers, with roughing and finishing planned to control cutting deformation on large thin sections. Critical features are held to ±0.01mm and verified on a CMM before anodizing.
- Certified 6061 aluminum plate blanking with material certificate and traceability.
- Stress-relief and process planning to reduce distortion on large-format plates.
- Rough milling of outer profile, irregular windows, and countersunk holes.
- Finishing of stepped grooves, hole arrays, and staggered locating bosses in a single clamping.
- Deburr, ultrasonic clean, then anodizing (clear, black, or hard) for protection.
- CMM full-dimension and flatness check, protective packing, and photo confirmation before shipment.
Large thin aluminum plates are prone to warping, so we control flatness to ≤0.02mm through stress relief, an optimized fixture layout, and balanced toolpaths. Hole arrays are position-checked to ±0.01mm, and coaxiality between related holes is kept to ≤0.02mm, so multi-lens and test modules drop onto the faceplate without reaming or shimming. Boss heights and groove depths are controlled for consistent stack-up across the whole panel.
6061-T6 aluminum gives the panel a high strength-to-weight ratio, good stiffness, and stable machining, keeping large faceplates flat and light. 5052 and 7075 are available for specific needs. Clear, black, and hard anodizing protect the surface, and bead blasting gives a uniform matte look suitable for optical equipment faceplates.
Custom panels are our core business. Send STEP, IGES, STP, or DWG files with your cavity, window, and hole layout, and our engineering team returns a DFM review within 24–48 hours. From one prototype to series production, we control the full route in-house.
