The end-effector mounting plate carries the gripper, the sensors and the cable package, and every tolerance in that plate shows up as tool centre point error at the end of the reach. Our robot end effector plate program treats the mounting interface as a metrology feature, not as a bracket, because a plate that is 0.05 mm out of square costs cycle time in re-teaching and scrap in mis-picks.
