Gripper fingers are where precision becomes touch. The finger plate carries the pad, the sensor and the guide, and its hole pattern has to match the gripper body exactly or the jaws will not close parallel. We machine these plates from 6061 or 7075 aluminium on a five-axis centre, hold ±0.01 mm on the guide bores and dowel holes, and keep the pad face flat within 0.02 mm.
